I am proud to have served as your Party Chair for the past 2 years. Thrilled with our electoral successes and the dedication and activity of our members, I hope to continue in this role.

I run for re-election committed to ensuring that this Party keep winning and keep promoting and living by the values we profess. As we demand a truly inclusive and just society, so must team Multnomah Democrats be KNOWN as a place that is welcoming to and representative of all county Democrats.

The job of Party Chair is demanding, sometimes tedious, and our many activities require oversight and encouragement. Being Chair requires a thorough knowledge of Party structure and the political framework within which it performs. Continuing to learn daily, I strive to be open and welcoming to every Democrat, endeavoring to consider and share the new ideas of our expanding membership. Whether in the field of campaigns or the work of Party growth, I encourage folks to work together as teams.

I run again to Chair our county Party, knowing that our effectiveness is inexorably tied to how WE live our values as Democrats.

I humbly ask for your vote – as We Rise Together.

I am Marc Koller; I have been a democrat for 40 years. I am running for the position of Chair of the Multnomah Democrats. In this most recent election I ran as a progressive independent for the 3rd U.S. Congressional District. I ran to give voters a choice, and support of a progressive agenda.

I believe the future of the party should move beyond simply supporting candidates just because they have a “D” next to their name. The agenda must be more than simply defeating Republicans.

Our Party must build a coalition of Democrats that supported Bernie, first time voters, millennials, worried seniors, union workers, people of color, the LGBTQ community, Independents, Progressives, Non-Affiliated voters, Green Party and Republicans that are disgusted with the hate and divisiveness of the current administration. This powerful coalition represents an overwhelming majority of Americans.

I spent over 30 years in the training and development field working with executives, managers, private and public employees helping them build strong teams, through delegation, consensus building and strong communication skills. I understand that I have much to learn about the workings of the party, but I feel I also have much to offer. Thank you for your support.
